today's post shall be about enrolment! ^^ i'm sure lots of people would have plenty to say about enrolment, the memories, the passing down of work, the performance & GOH that ppl took part in, the promotion etc. to make it short, enrolment just seems to hold plenty of memories for the seniors(sec 2-5) right? its like every year, ppl come ppl go, like an airport that ushers in those that arrives & bids farewell to those that are leaving. i have no idea if u have realised this but enrolment not only talks about new leadership or promotion, it is also a time where we present new things to the companies. like new primers & helpers, their role as primers & helpers & not forgetting we also recognise people that have done well in terms of service & studies. a new addition to this year's enrolment is the acknowledgement of the people that have done well in their studies, be it O lvls or A lvls.
Another wonderful part of enrolment that i myself have been anticipating each year is the GOH & special performances. i have no idea what's ur take on this is but to be part of the GOH contigent, it some how gives the members of the contigent a great sense of achievement when the whole thing is over. during my time, i seriously looked forward to having trainings for GOH even though it is physically & mentally demanding, hahas lets not forget the colour party & the special performances. the colours represent the brigade, thus being able to be part of the colours somehow made me feel... i dunno, its just a sense of pride for the brigade(yes, i've been in GOH, colours, flagbearer & special performance before =,=).
lastly its the special performance, each year the team of people taking part in the special performance somehow managed to forged a special bond between them, for my first few years in brigade it was fancy drill, last year was stomp, & this year was precision drill. special huh? its like every year we are presenting something new, there was a year where the primers & officers put up a skit for the brigade, i enjoyed that, it gave me a good laugh, hahas.
enrolment might be a once a year event, but somehow the memory it provides seems to appear not only for that one time. i'm looking forward to next year's enrolment, anticipating the performances, seeing new faces & bidding farewell to the leaders.
I love Brigade :D
